Scope of Work
  • Renovations to the existing 1924 Old Gym Building to accommodate professional services (audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, speech language pathology) and a recreation space for K-12 grades.
  • The three-story 13,000 SF brick structure is a contributing structure to the NC School for the Deaf National Register Historic District.
  • Historic restoration and renovations included an entry protico addition and window replacement.
  • General scope includes, but not limited to, a 2,000 SF stair/elevator tower addition, low-slope roof replacement, new slabs on ground floor, new floor structure over abandoned pool, new open stair within existing structure along with all new plumbing, mechanical, electrical and fire protection systems.
